So Who Is This Lily Person?

You just can't turn on your television without seeing Lily chatting about AT&T, can you? You see her so much, it seems like she’s your next door neighbor. But what do you really know about her?
Lily’s real name is Milana Vayntrub and she is from the Republic of Uzbekistan. Milana’s family left their homeland because of religious persecution (they were Jewish in a country that was officially atheist) when she was two. It took a while, but the family finally made to the U.S. and settled in California. Milana began doing ads when she was five, and in 1995 had a guest spot on “ER” at the age of eight. She is a high school drop out but not for the reason you might think. She wanted to fast track her schooling, so she dropped out of high school when she was a sophomore, got her GED and went to the University of San Diego, where she got a degree in communication.

She did comedy with the comedy trupe the Upright Citizen’s Brigagde, and was featured on a YouTUbe channel as one of the co-creators of “Live Proude Girls.” She has also been on other television shows, including “Key and Peele,” “Californication” and “Silicon Valley.”

Remembering her family’s past, she started the “Can’t Do Nothing” movement, in order to get people to use social media to help crusade for the rights of refugees around the glove.
